Jørn Utzon
On the 5th November 2009 we went to a talk by Prof Richard Weston entited “Jørn Utzon – Nature, Form and Architecture.”
We were both blown away, with Weston’s ability to give a splendid talk and with his personal touch.
So far the web has failed at providing the amazing pictures that Weston had to hand…

Jorn Utzon designed the Fredensborg housing development with 47 courtyards and 30 terraced houses.

Spring
In 1949 on a study trip to New York Jørn Utzon met Frank Lloyd Wright. During a group discussion Wright held up an empty glass and asked what is the most important with this glass? Utzon replied:
“The greatest importance of a glass is the space within.“
